Explanation of fish Camp program–Liz Springs ’16

fish Camp presentation–Jacob Rice ’17/Dillon Hartley ’16  (Dillon & Jacob presented the introduction to the Silver Taps tradition which fish Camp Crew presents to all participants in fish Camp. It consists of a skit in which a letter written by Don Coward ’72 is read.  The letter was written by Don in the fall of 1968 after his having attended his first Silver Taps.  Later that fall, the campus held Silver Taps for Don.)

Explanation of relationship of Don Coward to class–Liz Springs

Silver taps for ’69 deceased 2009-2014 (A slide show presenting the names of the 85 classmates who died since our last reunion was displayed, accompanied by the playing of Silver Taps twice through.)

Traditions Plaza/Bugle Stand Plaza presentation–Harvey Schulz (Harvey displayed and explained the two “brick & mortar” projects that are part of the overall package of Legacy Fund projects.)

Legacy Fund presentation–Bill Howell/Bob Foley (See their presentation.  At the end of the presentation, Bill Howell submitted a set of motions: 1. $125K of the Class of ‘69 Legacy Fund be appropriated to endow the Fish Camp Crew; 2. Legacy Funds be made available to commit and fund as available the Aggie Ring Awards endowment, Traditions and Bugle Stand Plazas, and Class of ‘69 Scholarships; and 3. Legacy Funds continue to be utilized to maintain the Class of ‘69 Flag Program. These motions were seconded, and the classmates in attendance approved the motion unanimously.)

Class Agent Election–Phil Callahan (The existing class agents had all agreed to continue to serve.  There being no other expressed interest in serving, and no other nominations, the class approved the election of Bill Youngkin, Harvey Schulz, Frank Farias, and Larry Lippke by acclamation.)
