The Class of ’69 55-Year Reunion is being held on Monday & Tuesday prior to the 2024 Reunion of the Texas A&M Sul Ross Group. On Tuesday evening, March 5, 2024, the Class of ’69 will be inducted into the Sul Ross Group, and we are encouraged to participate in the remaining Sul Ross Group activities on Wednesday and Thursday. Registration information about that reunion has been distributed through US Postal Service mail; be watching for it. That reunion requires a totally separate registration.
Based on feedback the Class of ’69 planning team heard from you last summer, we are attempting to maximize the amount of face time in this reunion. There are two meals and a number of other tours and activities planned for you to enjoy. But other than the dedication of the Avenue of the Flags, there is little structure to what is involved. They provide continuing opportunity to catch up with your classmates. We offer them for those who might be interested in revisiting or learning about some of the places shown, but you are also welcome to self-design your own set of activities. Still, it helps significantly in planning the activities for us to know how many of you intend to take advantage of them. Hence, we ask you to register for them.
The Sul Ross Reunion begins on Tuesday evening with a Class of ’69 only dinner. The current members of the Sul Ross Group have a separate dinner that evening. You will note when you get their agenda, however, that there is some open time on Wednesday afternoon for you to do what interests you. It is at this time that Steve Beachy ’69 is offering a tour of the Lynn Stuart Pathway at College Station’s Veterans Park. We encourage any of you with interest in or respect for the full history of American military engagements to take advantage of this opportunity.
Please join your classmates in what will likely be our last official Class of ’69 Reunion. And please share this information with any other classmates with whom you may have contact. Only 2/3 of our classmates have received this notification, so we need your help on getting the word out to everyone.
If you have questions or special requests, please address them to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will address those in subsequent emails to the class.
