The Class of ’69 Reunion Golf Tourney was held at the Campus Course on the campus of Texas A&M University. We had a total of 22 avid and not so avid golfers attend. The afternoon was a perfect sunny day with all that played totally enjoyed the fellowship, friendship and stories told by each and every one of the players. Most of the stories were a bit fabricated from the truth but, no one really cared. Prizes were given out to all participants during the Saturday night function at Duncan. First place went to the team called “the Scotch Team”. Players were Hank Johnson, Bob Reinhardt, Dennis Johnson and Don Hackney (class of ’71 sub) who shot 7 under. Second place went to “Team Boeing” who included Charlie Brown, Bill Howell and Johnnie Maroul, who shot 3 under. There was a third place tie with a score of 2 under, aka, total score of 69. The Injury Team of Scott Taylor, Jack Whitmore, Henry Kana and Melvin Jones tied with the Lockheed team of Rusty and Mickey Boggess, Kem Donaho and David McMahon. Fifth place carded a 70 or 1 under by the “Bird Chipper” team consisting of Rick Huffman, John Bearden, Steve Holditch and Jerry Hansen. Last but not the lease was “the Lawyer Team” with Bob Foley, Don Bonifay, Clark Erskine. OK, no lawyer on this team? Their lawyer leader had to bill somebody therefore, he could not make it.

All in all we all had a great time playing and visiting. Our annual class of 1969 golf tourney will be held in Houston on June 5-7, 2015. Hosts include Keith Mullins, Mike Jodeit, Kem Donaho. They should be sending out info to you all after the first of the year on where we will be playing.
