Tuesday afternoon, March 5, 2024 as part of the Class of ’69 Reunion, the General Earl Rudder American Freedom Avenue of the Flags was dedicated. Highlighting the dedication ceremony were GEN Mark Welsh, III (President of Texas A&M), BG Patrick Michaelis (Commandant), Linda Rudder Williams (Earl Rudder’s daughter), Dan Cervenka (brother of Avenue of Flags designer Landis Cervenka ’69), and Andrew Applewhite (Student Body President). Visit to President’s Office:
After the first of the year, GEN Welsh decided to move to the same office held by General Rudder, and also brought back the same desk that General Rudder had used. As a courtesy to General Rudder’s daughter, Linda, he hosted a visit to his office. Here is a picture of GEN Welsh with Linda (right) and his wife Betty (left).
